Early Intervention

APM's Early Intervention program is available to children of school age or younger who are discovered to have, or be at risk of developing a handicapping condition or other special need that may affect their development.

Research shows that the earlier developmental problems are identified and dealt with, the higher the success rate of the child.  The Early Intervention program is designed to help children between the ages of 3 and 5 overcome areas of delayed development.  Parents benefit as well because the program helps to reduce the frustration and stress association with caring for exceptional children.  Our early intervention specialists are bilingual (English/Spanish) and provide at home services or center-based services in different locations throughout North Philadelphia.

In order to benefit from our services, children must first undergo an initial assessment by ELWYN (215-222-4050).
