Housing Counseling & Foreclosure Prevention

Recognizing the important role homeownership plays in helping to stabilize neighborhoods, our Housing Counseling program is dedicated to promoting and encouraging neighborhood transformation and preservation. We create homeownership opportunities for first-time, low-income homebuyers. Our network of highly trained, bilingual housing counseling professionals helps families and individuals navigate the pre- and post-purchase process. For homebuyers with credit problems, APM offers delinquency counseling, help with credit repair and savings, and provides consumer education on predatory lending practices. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that those who purchase learn how to maintain their properties and build wealth for their families.

For those not yet ready to purchase a home, APM's also offers tenant counseling on mitigating rental delinquency, landlord/tenant disputes, and preventing homelessness.
