Head Start
In 1996, APM responded to the overwhelming need to provide childcare services within its community by opening the Community Child Care Center. The Center’s goal is to provide safe and loving care for children ages 3 and 5 years old, while helping them to develop social and age-appropriate educational skills in a multilingual and multicultural environment.
Experienced instructors provide guidance thru enriching programs designed to help prepare local children for a lifetime of learning and success. The program introduces children to computer literacy, elementary mathematics, science, art, and music and also works to help them understand the diverse and rich ethnic culture that is North Philadelphia. The Community Child Care Center is State licensed and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children
