ISUANNETTE VAZQUEZ APPOINTED DEPUTY VICE PRESIDENT OF HEALTH SERVICES

Philadelphia, PA—In a statement to City and State health officials, APM President and CEO Nilda Ruiz announced that Isuannette (Izzy) Vazquez will now serve as the agency’s Deputy Vice President of Health Services, overseeing a $5 million budget and more than 50 health and social service professionals operating out of 4 mental health clinics and a primary health center. Vazquez, who most recently served as Director of Behavioral Health at JEVS, replaces Iris Caballero, who recently retired. “I am excited to have been offered this opportunity. We are committed to increasing the quality and depth of service available to those we serve, ultimately helping individuals and families achieve their fullest potential,” commented Vazquez.

As Deputy Vice President of Health Services, Vazquez will work closely with regional healthcare providers, local physicians and healthcare workers, neighborhood outreach programs, parents, children, young adults and senior citizens to ensure APM continues to deliver the high-quality services Eastern North Philadelphia’s predominately Hispanic community has come to expect from the 38-year old institution. Vazquez holds a Masters degree in Human Services from Lincoln University, and has 4 children and 4 grandchildren. She resides in the Northwood section of Philadelphia.
