ISUANNETTE VAZQUEZ APPOINTED DEPUTY VICE
PRESIDENT OF HEALTH SERVICES
Philadelphia, PA—In a statement to City and State health
officials, APM President and CEO Nilda Ruiz announced that
Isuannette (Izzy) Vazquez will now serve as the agency’s
Deputy Vice President of Health Services, overseeing a $5
million budget and more than 50 health and social service
professionals operating out of 4 mental health clinics and a
primary health center. Vazquez, who most recently served as
Director of Behavioral Health at JEVS,
replaces Iris Caballero, who recently retired. “I am excited
to have been offered this opportunity. We are committed to
increasing the quality and depth of service available to those
we serve, ultimately helping individuals and families achieve
their fullest potential,” commented Vazquez.
As Deputy Vice President of
Health Services, Vazquez will work closely with regional
healthcare providers, local physicians and healthcare workers,
neighborhood outreach programs, parents, children, young
adults and senior citizens to ensure APM continues to deliver
the high-quality services Eastern North Philadelphia’s
predominately Hispanic community has come to expect from the
38-year old institution. Vazquez holds a Masters degree in
Human Services from Lincoln University, and has 4 children and
4 grandchildren. She resides in the Northwood section of
Philadelphia.
